Kim Richey + Will Kimbrough
Johnny D’s
Johnny D's, the little-Davis-Square-club-that-could,
kicks off its 40th-anniversary week (more than two lifetimes in the precarious
world of live-music presentation) with ace Nashville songwriter Kim Richey, who's penned songs for
Mary Chapin Carpenter and Trisha Yearwood including the Yearwood hit "Believe
Me Baby (I Lied") and has sung back-up with Ryan Adams, whose Americana slant
is perhaps most attuned to Richey's own style. She's joined by frequent
collaborator Will Kimbrough at 17 Holland St, Somerville
