Repulsion (1965)
Brattle Theatre
Whatever your position on the legal status of Roman Polanski, there's no denying that
he's one of the world's great filmmakers. Case in point: Repulsion (1965), in which
Catherine Deneuve plays a disturbed woman left home alone, with regrettable
consequences, the least being a decomposing rabbit carcass. It screens as part
of the Brattle Theatre's free Saturday-morning "Elements of Cinema" program,
followed by what should be an interesting discussion at the Brattle Theatre, 40
